                              DIABETES

In our body, when sugar is taken, it is converted into energy by the insulin hormone released from the pancreas. However, if insulin does not come out sufficiently for some reason, it will not become energy and sugar will increase in the blood.
Diabetes is a condition in which insulin is chronically inadequate and sugar utilization is not successful.
Physiologically, fasting blood glucose is 1000 mg / dl and hemoglobin A1c is 5.8% or less. Insulin is secreted from the pancreas, but the type that cannot make insulin by itself, or even if it can be made, is called type I diabetes, and the type that can make insulin but cannot secrete it normally is called type II diabetes. Insulin injections may be required for type I.The calories you eat in your diet burn as energy in your body. Insulin takes in sugar from the diet into cells such as muscles and liver and turns it into energy. However, when insulin works poorly, sugar is not taken up by cells and accumulates in the blood. That is hyperglycemia. The cause of hyperglycemia is that insulin that should be secreted from the pancreas may not be secreted as much as necessary, or despite the fact that insulin is secreted, the insulin does not work well. It is becoming clear that obesity is closely related to "insulin resistance".  Characteristics of these symptoms: It is common to be thirsty and drink a lot of water, to get hungry immediately no matter how much you eat, to get tired easily, and to have a lot of peeing. Diabetes is said to be scary because it can cause complications and other illnesses. Common complications include numbness, pain... caused by neuropathy, and retinopathy, fundus bleeding, nephropathy, and uremia caused by microangiopathy, but when it gets worse, blindness occurs in the eyes. It can also lead to dialysis in the kidneys. In addition, it is prone to arteriosclerosis and may cause cerebral infarction and myocardial infarction, so it is important to treat diabetes appropriately at an early stage. Many years of research on diabetes have now revealed many things. However, the reality is that there is no cure for diabetes. Therefore, it is important to control the blood sugar level so that it does not rise. After that, depending on the type of diabetes, we will use oral medicine and injections. The main indications for diabetes in Chinese herbal medicine are type II diabetes (a type of diabetes that develops based on lifestyle). In this case, it is effective to use Chinese herbal medicine in combination with diet and exercise therapy. As diabetes progresses, the flexibility of blood vessels decreases, blood circulation deteriorates, peripheral coldness and numbness such as limbs, and visual acuity deteriorate due to retinopathy. For this, crude drugs with blood circulation improving effects are used. For thirst and frequent urination, moisturizing herbal medicines are used. Chinese herbal medicine is prepared by combining this herbal medicine that suits each patient's symptoms.

                                                            OBESITY

And Chinese medicine is very effective in boosting those effects. As for the obesity type, the Chinese medicine to be used varies greatly depending on the constitution and the cause of the problem. People with physical strength actively use Chinese herbal medicines including herbal medicines that activate metabolism. People who are not physically fit use Chinese herbal medicines that improve water bias and metabolism. Both have in common that they increase the effectiveness of diet and exercise therapy by promoting metabolism. In addition, people with obesity have high blood pressure and high blood. In many cases, sugar and high cholesterol levels are taken into consideration when formulating Chinese herbs.

First type of obesity is a state in which you eat too much Western food, sweet foods, spicy foods, etc... , and waste products accumulate in your internal organs and your metabolism cannot keep up. In Chinese medicine, it is considered to be a moist heat type or a blood type. In other words, waste products such as moist heat and blood are accumulated in the body, so we will focus on excreting waste products from stool, urine, sweat, etc.

Second type is cold and has reduced metabolism. I haven't eaten too much, but I'm fat, especially in the lower body and thighs. In some cases, it is a type that is said to "get fat even if you drink water" in a state close to swelling. In Chinese medicine, it is considered to be a deficiency type or a sputum type. Due to lack of energy, it gets cold and metabolism decreases, and sputum (water poisoning) is accumulated, so we will focus on warming the body and activating metabolism.

                               HYPER/HYPOTHYROIDISM

The thyroid gland is the largest organ of the endocrine glands that surrounds the first half of the trachea. The normal thyroid gland is soft and usually not touched from the outside. However, if the thyroid gland becomes significantly swollen or stiff, it will come into contact with the outside. Hyperthyroidism is caused by an increase in the amount of blood thyroid hormone secreted by the thyroid gland for some reason. In addition to Graves' disease, which is a typical disease, there are subacute thyroiditis and silent thyroiditis. Hypothyroidism includes chronic thyroiditis and Hashimoto's disease. It is thought to be an autoimmune disease as the etiology.
